Below is a list of the classes I teach and a small description about them. If you are a student in one of my classes, you will be using this page as a resource both inside and outside of the classroom. Most importantly, daily homework assignments as well as assessment and project due dates will be posted under each Spanish class listed in the navigation bar on the left-hand side of this wiki.

Spanish Advanced Placement: The AP Spanish Language course is conducted entirely in Spanish in order to expand the students’ command of the target language in the four skills of writing, speaking, listening, and reading. The course offers a thorough analysis of the grammatical concepts studied during the previous years and presents the more intricate points of syntax and verb usage. Students refine their communicative skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing through authentic written texts, including short stories, newspaper and magazine articles, and audio and video recordings. Furthermore, students develop their skills through formal and informal oral presentations, formal and informal written work, including written compositions and essays and weekly language lab activities.

Spanish IV: Fourth-level Spanish students will continue to grow in the areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students will master the uses of the subjunctive, indicative, and imperative moods. By the end of the course, students will develop a more in-depth comprehension of both informal and formal writing and speaking skills on a variety of topics, including Hispanic current events, art, history, and literature. Students will discuss in the target language current events, including but not limited to technology, medicine, world challenges, environment, and international relations.
